撲滅森林火災的根本途徑是；
The basic way to put out forest fire is to put out forest fire;
（1）隔離可燃物，是著火的可燃物與未著火的可燃物隔離（如開挖防火阻隔帶），達到控制、撲滅林火的目的；
(1) Isolation of combustibles refers to the isolation of on fire combustibles and unburned combustibles (such as excavation of fire barrier belt) to control and extinguish forest fires;
（2）隔離氧氣，減少森林燃燒物所需要的氧氣，使其窒息熄滅（如以土覆蓋滅火法）

（3）冷卻降溫，使燃燒可燃物的溫度降到燃點一下，林火停止燃燒（如以水滅火法）。
